YouTube chapters from a DJ tracklist
Uploading a mix to YouTube? Paste your tracklist below. You get timestamps in the format YouTube turns into chapters, so listeners can jump straight to a track and see its name on the progress bar.
One track per line with its start time. Numbering, brackets and times at the end of a line are fine.
Paste this at the top of your video description. YouTube turns it into chapters.
What YouTube needs for chapters
- Start at 00:00
- The first timestamp has to be 00:00. If your list starts later, the tool moves the first line to 00:00.
- At least three chapters
- YouTube ignores a list with fewer than three timestamps.
- Ten seconds apart
- Every chapter has to last at least ten seconds. Quick cuts closer than that are left out and listed.
- In order
- Times must go up. A line earlier than the one above it is left out and listed.
